cross country

today marked the last day of the first school term...what did the teachers have the students do? yeap! make the students run away from school (and run back again)...apakan?hehehe...well...it went well, yesterday a few teachers and i went to set up the check points (or aka Pancang in the Malay language...never knew that checkpoints were called Pancang...see, new word learnt) spent like 4 hours setting them up...yesterday i realised how far the kids have to run...freaking 10kms...well it felt like 10kms...but according to the teachers its more like 7-8kms...they even have to climb down this small hill...so kesian...in my head i was imagining small form 1 kids,crying for water, gasping for breath, and crawling towards the finish line...

well the actual event went well...kids were tired but they all reached the school safely...a TP teacher and I shared a checkpoint with two other teachers...Checkpoint (6 a) i think...well anyways...took one whole hour for all the students to pass through our check point...and air lagi nda cukup..so kesian...had to tell them to get water from the next checkpoint...(if truth be told, we werent sure if there were water waiting for them there...kesian)...after every student went through our checkpoint we were free to leave the checkpoint...so my friend and i decided to drive around to make sure the students were alright...and then we saw from the distance these crowd of students waving frantically as we drove by...i rolled down my window to ask them what was wrong...then they shouted together, "Teacherrrrrrrr!!!Give Uppppppp!!!!". i laughed so hard my sides felt like they were about to split, hehehe...i saw that they were tired but they were smiling....so funny to hear that...even as im typing this im smiling...=) By 11am all of the students were back to the school and the prize-giving ceremony started..i didnt care cos i was so tired...we went straight to the food..hehehe..lapar!

heheh...know wat?i only slept for 2 hours...had to set two alarm clocks to make sure that i wake up...orang atu ah...that person owes me for my suffering...hehehehe....i feel half awake now...but conscious enough i hope..good thing i bought a can of redbull...i was expecting something like this...but i have prepared everything already...just a matter or presenting everything now...man! i need some shut eyes...

Craaaaaaaazzzzzzzzzzyyyyyyyyy week...

today's lesson went grrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaattttttttttt!!!!hehehe...so happy about that...but i wasn't assessed..too bad...well the big challenge is tomorrow...well pretty much later..its 40mins to midnight..and im not done preparing...i blame that someone...kept me on the Phone for hours....wudn't let me go...well...now i have to suffer...i have two lessons to plan..and that is not what im worried about..the thing is that my Supervisor is coming in to observe my lesson and assess me...damn...im so not ready for this...im still up sticking things onto the manila cards...ahahah..nda creative eh...ahahaha....and i have not even written up the lesson plan...but i pretty much know what i want to do with the class...

wish for me a miracle to go through this...i promise i will sacrifice two virgins if i get through this fine ...thats how desperate i am...bah have to go back to work...im going crazy here...

Today was a very tiring day for me...i finished preparing my lesson very late...2am i think...hehehe...u got to love procrastinating...well i didn't really...had to spend 1/4 of my day at a function at my uncle's...got home tired after that...so i slept until late afternoon...and only started printing out maps and blowing them up at the xerox place in Delima complex sebaris ngan Hua Ho (its funny tat the 'Hua' is underlined with a red dotted line...and the 'Ho' isn't...amusingly funny i think...hehhehehe) late at night...

well back to the story of me being tired..i got off school at about 1.15pm...and had to pick up my brother from PTE (pusat tingkatan enam/6th Form Center) at 2pm...only takes me 10mins drive la...so i had quite a wait waiting for me...hehehe...only to discover that he is gna be 20mins late...i fell asleep as i was parked in front of a crowd of form 6 students, mostly girls, some of the which i find very attractive...hehehe...hope i didn't fall asleep with my mouth wide open with drool coming out the side of my mouth...the engine was running...sigh....just recalling this is making me drowsy...



















anyways...i have another lesson to teach tomorrow...this time with my beloved 2H...they are fine individuals...i hope they can benefit from me teaching them...i worry about my students especially my 2D and 2F...they don't seem to be motivated or interested in geography...even when i was observing them on my first week of Teaching practice...some of them do try by only a small fraction...owh well today didn't go very well, i can expect that most of them struggled during the exam...no one seem to revise for the exam...i was recapping a lesson i taught last two weeks and it was included in the exam last week and no one can answer my questions...dunno what else to do...owh well...il just have to give them more work..hehehe...biar durang...

another update...apparently i have stroopwafels waiting from me...i posted that i wanted stroopwafels from a friend who was in Holland doing a course...kali tarus2 she told me to come and pick it up...hehehhe...i feel guilty now...i should get her something in return...happy meal?ok kah tu?hehheehe...i remember having stroopwafels dulu masa di London...arah Leicester square kali..not sure or was it in Piccadilly Circus...it was freshly made....its supposed to look like this...












but the ones i had had fillings between them (like a sandwich)...i dont remember what fillings in the stroopwafels i had dulu but i remember it to be good...hehehe...i cant wait to go to London...i miss it there...bah before ke Canada(to look at the Aurora, still planing on going) tani ke London k?who is coming with me?

going fishing tonight..

TP has been very relaxing for me...observations on the first week...light teaching/giving revisions on the second week...and now we are having exams...but things are going to be crazy next week...first of all my supervisor is coming to see my lesson on Wednesday...and all week next week inspectors from MOE are coming to inspect teachers...including TP teachers...crazy right?oh well...that just means that i now have to prepare interesting lessons and use lots of ABMs (alat bantu mengajar) or teaching aids....but for now i want to take a step back and relax...i want to go fishing...haven't done that since Kim left...i miss Kim, wonder what she is doing right about now...

i had a lunch with the TESL bunch this afternoon...we went to L.A Donuts, please don't read it as La Donuts...its not Italian..its L.A Donuts...or thats what i think it is...hehehhe...we met there at 1pm (well we were supposed to...i for one was very punctual.. si Mau pukul 2.30pm pun alum ada...ahahhaha...)...the food was sadang...i had the burger with fries...no one can ever mess that up, if they even mess up an order of burger then they shouldn't even think about opening up a restaurant...hehhe..marah~...Bobby and Hane had lasagna which was unusually runny...but they claim that it tasted good non-the-less...its just the texture that makes it un-lasagna-like...Ches had a piece of fish on top of mashpotatoes...dunno how it tasted like but it looked good though....we spent lunch stuffing our faces and talking about TP and how we are getting on...i just realise that i can be very intimidating especially if im warned about several students by other teachers...i would just walk into a class and make sure that they sense my presence...today i was invigilating a form 3 class and this one kid was like 5'10 or taller..and he was built like a tank...he looked like he was testing my patience...like picking up a broom and sweeping the room when i wanted everyone to settle down..i told him to take a seat...he replied that he is just doing that so that when inspectors came that they will be impressed..i thought 'wise-ass'...so i told him off and sent him to his seat...kids nowadays ah...no respect for teachers...i wasn't like this when i was younger...and this kid was only in form 3....*sigh*...i was half expecting a flat tyre at the end of the day...but when i got to my car, Nothing!...hehehe...coming from Berakas can give u that kind of idea/expectation...Berakas English school was like a zoo or a crazy asylum...why need to choose?sama la...hehehe... well now i need to rest my eyes so i can go fishing tonight...g'nite people....g'nite babe...

rare encounter

students at our schools started their first term exam on Saturday...i for one is grateful because this means that i don't have to ready lesson plans...all i have to do is just turn up and invigilate exams (a great bore though...)

oh! i remember something while invigilating a class...i was invigilating form 1D...and was walking around the classroom...then i looked outside the window because i was really bored...then my eyes caught a movement in the mini-garden outside the classroom window...i first thought it was a huge bee, but there is no buzzing...then i saw a beak...i couldn't belief my luck...there it was just a few yards from me....i saw a humming bird! its no bigger than my deodorant bottle's cover (hahaha...i really don't know how to describe the bird)...its so little! its so....i dunno how to describe it...i saw it while it was busy collecting nectar from this flower...what a rare sight!!! well it was yellowish green and i wanted to whip out my mobile phone and take pictures, but i realized that i was in a classroom full of students...i wanted to be a good example...

anyway...she called me again today...i'm starting to miss her even more now...i think i'm gona call her after this...
